carboot engineer level to long ?

ive just brought a engineer level not to sure if its to long for a table its about 2 foot long

I thought the fitters used them Gary but I could be wrong, in my mind the longer the leveller lol.

That's about what my fitter used when he set up my table. I think you should be fine.

from Geoff's photo and text he said shorter the better as you get finer readings and compared to the pound note he used to display the 0.1 off level, the level was approx. under 1ft long.

Shorter with a bigger bubble isn't it for sensitivity? Saw one the other day when the guy was recovering the table.

Mines 12" and each increment is 0.1mm out over 1m length.

I use mine for engineering though lol
