Sleeve Type Ferrules

Does anyone know where to get any of the sleeve (not threaded) type ferrules.

Less and less produced at the moment and most out of stock or not do them anymore.

Yes mate and I'm sure I did a video on You Tube some where on how to cut them and remove any burr's.

The problem is I'm swamped at the moment and I generally buy a few hundred at a time so would rather just find another supplier and buy a batch if possible.

Like all these things it's just down to time and I'm finally trying to get a leather cases project off the ground that has been on hold for a couple of years!

Thanks for the link mate but I need all the various sizes, this guy just does the 10mm ferrule. Obviously hard to get them now but i'm sure somebody must still do all the sizes as I'm always asked for them. Thanks for the link though.

I work in a plastics factory where we use brass inserts for Triumph motobike parts. Most have an internal thread and are patterned on the outside for adhesion to the plastic but a few are plain rounded sleeves, these are only 8mm in diameter by 15mm long so ok for the small 8 ball cue ferrules that some people desire, could get two from one insert if cut in half. There is one that is 9.9mm diameter by 4mm long but it has a tiny lip on the outside which when machined back would take it to 9.4mm.
I have 'appropriated' a few of these from the workplace, nothing larger I'm afraid but the company who make them is called Intafast and it might be worthwhile to contact them to see if they make anything larger that can be used as ferrules.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll give it some thought as I think I have around 20 sizes in all. Strange that everything has pretty much gone threaded but maybe there wasn't much call for it.

I would imagine most that are after the point ones of a millimetre are skimming the outside on the lathe now.

Yeah I know I can still em on the lathe and just take down the outside to the size I want or as you say, drill the centres out; obviously easier to just order some.

Not sure why the suppliers have decreased over the last couple of years, obviously a demand problem.
