  • Peradon 8-ball pool cues

    Hi,
Thinking about purchasing either the Typhoon or Atom.

    Has anybody used/owned one?

    Any good? Value for money?

    Thanks in advance.

I think Peradon 8 ball cues are superb. Best ones available off the shelf IMO. They've got the taper absolutely spot on- something which so many more rspected makers can't seem to do..

Bear in mind though that they tend to vary quite a bit. For instance I have a Storm cue for pool which weighs 16 oz and my mate has one which weighs 18 1/2 . Just the way they arrived, as the stores didn't reply to my messages about sending one which weighed 17 oz. Also the most common ferrule size they put on is actually 7.7 mm (although they're advertized as 8-8.5 mm lol...) I've measured several with the digi calipers.
Having said that they're both great pool cues, and I've had loads of more expensive ones but they haven't felt as good as the peradon ones. They look a bit crap though, and the centre joint plus the one 6" from the bottom isn't what I'd normally go for , but it tends to give them a really good balance. Highly recommend those storm cues.
Would be a good idea to buy 3, keep the best one and flog the other 2 on ebay, or to other players you know.should get most of your money back
