Both of them are able to make fantastic cues.
My impression is that a Glover cue holds its value better than a Stamford.
But you will not go wrong with one of both.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

I had cues from both of them and none of them was disappointing.
Tony Glover is famous for his very nice replica cues.

Stamford has two product lines. The better one is quite expensive.

Tony Glover is somewhere between the two lines of Stamford depending of what you ask him to make.

A second hand Glover will fetch slightly more than a Stamford.
And his replica cues are sought after.

what about the quality. is that extra money worth the quality? ie. shaft selection and crafts skills.

That's exactly the price difference: Selection of wood and more craftsmanship. But playability is on equal level.

I popped in to Glover's workshop yesterday and he had a Mannock replica. It was beautiful - £500.

He also had another replica which I think was called "The Whisperer" which was also very nice.
