  • My Cue Tip

Now despite how much I love to play and watch Snooker, I have limited knowledge of things to do with the cue, such as makes and tips etc.

    So...

My tip seems to have had it, it's making an awful noise on contact and generally looks ugly. Is it a case of filing it down to make it round at the edges again, or getting a new tip? If the latter, how do I go about doing this? Is it something I can do myself or does some specialist do it for me somewhere, and again if so, where is this and how much does it cost?

Sorry if I sound a bit dumb

I would say get somebody to do it for you if you have never done it before!
I used to practice doing it on an old spare cue, only started doing my own cue after i was confident i was doing it properly.
Any snooker club owner should be able to do it, or if there are any specialists near you then go to them.
I get roped into doing all of my mates tips now that they have seen mine and the ones i have done, i just charge them for the tips

When you charge them do they leave you any tips?
