I believe it is a fake.

From my memory, the badge is usually ivory in colour.. slightly yellowish.

Even the mastercue logo on the top looks weird...

Normally, mastercue usually come in disc logo, Plate badge is often done on request or custom made models.. and i dun see anything that states it is custom made.

Willy : I am with you. This is not official M/C Cue. Perhaps done by one of his workers. They never have this badge, not to my knowledge. But GBP50 is a deal if the owner plays well with it
            It's in the Shaft

confirm fake, cos i actually saw one of these in the club and tried it on,does not even see touch or feel like a real mastercue, the finish on the splicing is not even and the color is shady and the wood used is like an ordinary ash shaft you find on budget cues

I was in Thailand at Christmas and saw some fake John Parris cues being sold in a proper sports shop. They wouldn't be worth £20 here!!

Totally agree to you. Sports shop is the place that Thai players won't get in for a good snooker cue. MasterCue and Omin are the only 2 places one should go to

He told me that 1 of his friend who is a express bus driver who is travelling along Thailand & Malaysia. He got it back from Thailand.

The cue is really heavy, much heavier than my cue (19oz)

                      I believe is fake too......

After so many mastercue user said this fake, we can conclude that this cue is already 98% fake..

I think you should tell him and advise him to be careful next time.
Maybe you can tell him the way to differentiate original and fake cue.

Assuming those splices are real (ie not painted) still a cheap cue, so does it really matter ?
