  • Tamar Cue

Does anyone know anything about these? Just picked one up for a reasonable price. Says made in Sheffield on the badge. Seems like a fairly decent cue, joint appears to be a spiroloc type. I have heard of them before in passing but know nothing about them.

    Ive never heard of it
But if you like the cue then it doesnt matter

How much did you pay for it and what are the specs?
Is it machine made or handmade?

Needs a new tip which ill stick on soon, before i can try it. Its handspliced rosewood, bout 57" 2 piece, approx 18oz and i think just under 9mm ferrule. Probably best suited as a pool cue. Not bad for £14 inc delivery! (and completely straight unlike some cheaper ebay cues)

That's an absolute bargain, one of my first cues was a Tamar and it was a damn good cue, I wanted a custom made one shortly after but the guy went under and emigrated to Aus I think (pun intended). Your cue would have been about £180 new

Wow, thanks for the info, nice to hear from someone who's encountered one before. Certainly seems like fairly decent cue, very happy with my purchase!

Tried this out today on a pool table. Very nice cue, shaft is a decent piece of ash with a nice hit. Not sure it suits me personally as 57" is a bit on the short side for me, but its clearly a good cue, even more so for the pittance i was lucky enough to pay for it! (someone already made me an offer for it! lol)
