  • John parris custom-made cues

Hi, i would like to ask what are the differences between the 3 grades of shaft available for made-to-measure John Parris cues in terms of playability such as throw, feel etc. Does the most expensive JP ultimate play alot better than the cheapest JP special, or is the price difference due to a more attractive looking shaft?
    Cheers.

Price or grade of ash will have no difference on how a cue plays . A cheaper cue may play better than a dearer one for you but not for another person . Its an individual thing . You pay extra for the fancy spicing .

You can request a cue that is more whippy or stiffer than average . As for the feel again it,s an individual thing what feels good to one may not to another .

The best option if possible is to go and try some out , if not the next best thing is to order a cue to your ideal specs and hope it suits you game .

Like the JP website said, the highest grade one (ultimate) allows you to get the straightest grain for your cue but (special) provides your the avenue of having a JP cue custom to the most basic need.

Pls note that we are comparing a plain ebony butt cue, not a cue with some fancy splicing. But if you prefer some fancy splicing to how a shaft will look like, i will highly advise you to order a special over ultimate.

I have 2 JP special currently in UK as we speak, if you are interested i can get it custom to your splicing & spec.
