  • Robin Cook cue review

Well,I have been waiting for this cue for almost 7 months. Simply because I asked Robin that I want him to find a perfect piece of ash for me. And he did just that. What a great Christmas gift

First cue specs: 59",9.7mm tip,30mm butt diameter,18.5 oz,one piece ash cue with ebony butt, and single facing walnut splice with thick blue veneer. All splices are even and finish is just superb.

I have to say that I have never ever played with such special cue. Maybe it will sound quite strange, but as soon as I pick the cue up it felt like I had this cue for years. Now,I finally now what is like to have cue that 100% suits you. I mean this is just amazing. I have played some really hard shots and every time I have managed to pull out some quite incredible shots. Shaft is just perfect it completely suits me and I must say that I didn't expect that I will ever be so thrilled with any cue..

You know what? I think that I just cannot say enough great things about this cue so I will just stop

I don't want to compare Robin with any other cue maker as I never owned a cue from anyone else, but I am sure that my next cue is also going to be Robin cue as he is a really great guy and for me he is making the best cues in the world.

I will post some nice pics in next couple of days

How much did this set you back? Did he charge you more for being so exacting with the type of shaft you wanted?

Cue was 300 gbp. So I guess it's not a lot for such a brilliant cue. I still cannot believe it,how lucky I was

Thanks for the pics, that's a beautiful cue. I see what you mean by the ash, the chevrons are perfect! Very similar to what I plan to order, a single facing splice.
Isn't this your second Robin cue?

Thanks for kind words Yes, I actually don't like to many splicings. For me single splice looks very elegant and somehow private,if you now what I mean? It's like that splice is there because I like it and not because I want everyone to see my expensive cue

This is my 4th Robin cue You just can't go wrong with him. He truly is a great cue maker and a great guy to deal business with. Again highly recommended

                    Another nice Robin mate!

By the way, Robin never charge extra for additional/special request on the shaft. Merry Xmas guys~

                      Thanks

Well even if he does charge it's not a lot maybe 50 gbp.

                      Merry Christmas

                        Thanks

Thanks, nice collection. Like your new one best. Think I would go for a single splice, maybe olivewood. Have a great Christmas.
