Choice for cue (beginner)

Hello,

I'm Joeri from Belgium, and me an a friend started again with snooker after 20 years!! Our game is verry poor ;-) (also 20 years ago), but we have fun and love to play.
Now, can someone give me advice for a cue?
Cues in the snooker palace a verry poor...

Not a pro model ofcours, but a normal good cue.
On ebay I found allot of cues
For example: Heritage WAC Ronnie O'Sullivan Snooker Cue (i like the design)

Does anyone has a good hint for me?
I prefer 3/4 with hard case.

Please keep in mind that i live in Belgium, so transport from the UK is ok, but from the other side of the world is a little bit difficult :-)

For specs I don't have any idea... (beginner)

Budget, max 100€ (+- 75pound)
Hard Case included..

Cheaper is alway's welcome.

hi joeri, i don't think there is a beginner's cue because all cues are rather similar in the sense that their dimensions don't vary by that much, they go by ounces, millimetres... but your cue preference may change as you become more proficient and understand what works better for you...

there's no real need to buy an expensive cue though it's good to get a cue of decent quality over a really cheap one that may turn out to be quite useless.

there are many posts in this forum on how to choose and where to buy cues... i find these 2 sites cropping up here quite a few times and forum members have said good things about them... so maybe worthwhile to check them out... of course, having said that, there may be many others just as good or even better... so do your research and caveat emptor... good luck in finding your cue!!

Maybe it's better to go in a snooker shop.
I've heard there's a good one in Antwerp were cue's can be tested.

no problem, joeri... it is best to test the cue before buying...

i suggest you go for something decent, choose the one you feel most comfortable with and not just because it looks pretty... hmmm, sounds a bit like finding a life partner...
