Sorry mate but I took a Hunt & Obyrne green plate cue down to Will and Robert about 4 years ago as I wanted them to refurbish the cue so I know for absolute CERTAIN that Aeon made the green plate cues for Hunt & Obyrne. The splicings on some of the green plate cues that I have either seen or owned have been all over the place. Mind you, Aeon made some good playing cues

You are probably right about Aeon also making the machine spliced cues.

Don't forget that Will Hunt was making black plate Hunt & Obyrne cues by himself by hand!! How many could he make in a week? Multiply that by how many years H&O were in business and you won't have all that many black plate cues.

This is spot on, i'm sure they made all the H & O range at one point apart from the Black Plates.

Only to add that although Aeon cues were mixed quality ( mainly because there range was so vast to suit all bugets ) from cheap machine spliced upwards etc the top end numbered special models they made were excellent, and as good a cue i've seen.
