  • new cue recomendations

hello. im new to this forum so forgive me for another "what cue thread". im in need of a new cue but unsure what make. im after a full size 3/4 joint 16" from butt. medium weight around 18-18.5oz with a 9.5-10mm tip. a cue with a 6"mini butt is a must also. i have upto £300 for cue and case. i like the look of the peradon king but dont know if i can get better for the money. only place i know of to get a cue is the interweb as i dont think there are any places around where i live that stock cues apart from places like jjb sports with the £50 cues.

for years i have been using a £50 bce 2 piece cue so im due an upgrade

Mastercraft make excellent cues for the money they charge, you would get a cue, extensions and case for your budget.
Just because its old, doesn't mean its worth a fortune!!

Don't buy the Peradon would be my advice, with that kind of money you have much better choices, such as GBL & Mastercue from Greenbaize http://greenbaize.com/
Or contact Craftsmans cues to see what they have http://www.craftsmancues.com/index.html

If possible youre always better off trying a range of cues from a shop like craftsman , greenbaize etc , that way you can try them out and feel whats best suited to you .

Personally i would buy a nice secondhand case as it will give you a better budget for a nice cue and casaes get scratched so its not going to stay like new anyway .

A nice cuecraft uluminium case will do fine .

You have had all the info you need on cues.

There are cue cases on ebay for £34.99 which are aluminium and solid.

I have the black one piece version and its brilliant. No different to a cue craft or peradon apart from cheaper.

Peradon Cues are very good but Craftsman is better. Mastercraft cues...no comment. 3 players from my club order a Mastercrafts (2 Black Prince's and 1 Dictator). Cues really fast start cracking in the joint place ( 3 months lol). This cues are low quality.

I would get a second had Parris classic. It would cost you around £200 and you have enough for a case also.

This cue pretty much fits the bill, I have a mini butt that I could sell too
