The way they work it here I get a duty charge of 5%, + taxes at 13% and on top of that a courier brokerage and admin fee of around $15 for a cue. So you can see it's a percentage + another fee and I always ask the seller to declare the value under 50quid to try and keep that down a bit, but the $15 is standard with most couriers. It usually works out to around 25% or so.

i know loss or damage is quite rare, but since is coming along way from aus, think thats why i didnt want to declare small value. if it did get lost or broken id be screwd

I had been wondering how much Mr. Harper charges for duty before I ordered the cue from UK. I received it yesterday and thankfully the seller only declared £50. I ended up paying $20.70 for HST and brokerage fee (+ tax for brokerage fee!). No duty though. Lucky~~

He could never understand why people pay so much for 2nd hand H & O Cues , when as you say the cues made by Robert and Will were better . But saying that , i've been fortunate enough to see some really good blackplates .

not saying i havent seen some great black plates, but from the 3 ive owned, i wasnt overly impressed. prob why i sold them lol. dont see many people playing them nowadays anyway, they are collecters items which get permantely stored. a member from asia on here must have at least 50. shame they not being played with imao

I know you weren't .....just agree with your statement . There are at least 3 people in my league that play with blackplates .....but i suppose as it's South London , there will be more people with them .
