  • First snooker cue - gbl

Hi guys, in need of some advice:
Upto recent I have only played 8ball however due to my al club closing I've moved to snooker. I'm after my first decent cue and decided to go to green baize as my main pool cue is a gbl. Stu has a great 1 piece in stock but the only sticking point is the tip size for 8ball I used 8.5 and this cue is 10mm is that to much of a big jump? Would I be better of with 9.5mm?

    First snooker cue - gbl

Try glover cues, tony will make one to order, not sure where you are based, tony is based near Derby

I had a one piece with all the screw in extensions, four different woods, thicker butt, 10.25mm tip, 59 " £450, takes about 6 to 8 weeks, the cue is oiled not sprayed

    Really happy with the result

GBL cues are great value for money, and i think 9.5 ferrule would suit you better

I thought Stu had a good range of 8ball cues in stock with ferrules around that size? I'm pretty sure that 9.5 is okay but if you've only ever used 8.5mm then even that is probably too big. I'd look for something smaller in that case.

Stu will change it to a 9.5mm for you no problem.

GBL cues are great cues and Stu is a fantastic guy to deal with, you won't go wrong.
