Interparcel will take it through TNT/UPS/CityLink, but if you're adding insurance to a high level you'll be talking ~£20-25.

Does the case need to go? If not just a pipe tube would be better, lop it off at 1.5m and parcel force will take it, or you may even be able to use special delivery if the post office is dopey like my local one...

Me and some of the other guys I know have used Gwizz. No complaints. You're right about the Post Office. They have a restriction on the length which is just short of a one piece cue. Use the search facility on Gwizz and you'll get some comments.

Parceltogo website is very easy to use. Collect from your door and deliver it for £10
                Always a pleasure

Hi, I've posted 3 cues at my local post office by Royal mail Special Delivery it cost me just over £9 for up to £500 cover with no problems...at first they said no! and that it was to long but they took it in the end.

tell me about it, main probs are down to the office you try to send at. my local office said i couldnt send because the delivery men refuse to take it. so i went down to my sorting office, they went mad to say the least and added they dont refuse to send and that if the office refuse to put it through the till i should send a letter and complain for them not doing their job right. but i have found another post office who dont have any probs sending. but usually i dont bother now, not worth hassle, i use giwizz UPS

Thing is matty, the rules state 900 mm maximum for special delivery, so if a post office refuses to take it, like all mine do, they are right, so your sorting office has got it wrong !!!

Maybe I've just been lucky! first time the guy at my post office took it no problem, after that I just said I'd posted it there before ok so he took it again in the end sorry to hear you guys have had problems... my last cue think I paid £10.75 for cover of up to a £1000. which was by far the best price... Parcelforce was £35!! for the same cover.
