    First or Second from left

      First shaft or third from right(counting the whole cue). Whatever burr has the nicest birds eye pattern, possibly second from right?

                Who is making this cue for you? Good choice with the shaft, although I'd say any of the first 3 would be a good choice, my preference would be the first on the left.

                      I would choose the one that is not the stiffest but is pretty stiff and yet has a slight flex in the last 12 inches, also the one that has carried the taper best, ie the grain feels like it runs with the taper.
                      Because the one that LOOKS the best may make the worst cue youve ever had.

                      Also the burrs may have a defect that will be exposed when planed to size on a cue so you need the maker to select which will be the best looking when fitted.
