changing the ferren

ive just got given a buxton 5 piece snooker cue for christmas and it has a 10mm tip before i was playing with a 9mm tip does anyone know if i can change the ferren for a 9mm

You can but you will have to have the cue re-tapered and shortened slightly to reduce the size to allow a smaller ferrule to be fitted. It will probably cost around £20 - £30 to have done and most cue makers will do this no problem.
In fact check out Mastercraft cues page they offer this for £16 I think!
