Is it plain ebony, or fancy splices, should be worth quite a bit

depends how lucky you are, realistically would fetch around £750-£800 on ebay

Brand new they start at £756 so it depends a lot on the woods used in the splicing, there is currently a 18 month waiting list for a ultimate ! ! I know because i was there today to order mine !

I was told that 18 months is the general time for an ultimate, it can be shorter depending on what your wood requriments are and what joint if any you require, im getting a maple shaft with four over four splices of quilted maple with a thin black veneer after the first four splices and after the second four splices !

That's not totally true, cause by the time my mates Ultimate is ready it'll be closer to the 2 year mark and that's without any fancy splices.....

18+months is one hell of a long wait! I ordered a plain ebony 3/4 jpu back in August last year. with a 12 month wait in mind

All i can go on is what i was told by John and his wife, they said that an 18 month wait is quoted to everyone, my cue might not take as long as its maple and not ash which is more popular and therefore harder to come by.

Although he does state that 3/4 cues will be made much quicker than 1 pieces

Yes of course that is all you can go by and he did say that to my mate, but all I was just saying is maybe prepare yourself cause it could be a bit longer of a wait......
