  • Crispian Jones - my latest work :)

Thought i would start my own little blog, as i seem to be putting pictures up in different threads so often

I hope to add a few pictures of my work every week or two ?

I will not be putting up pictures of "the making" before anyone asks ! (that is something i do for customers

I will try to give a brief wright up of each cue/case that i add to this thread

Anyway thought i would start with my own cue, not so new, but i did re tip it this week !

        customised cue

This is a cue i customised for a friend, it was a little short for him so i added a few inches and
        added the lower 8 splices

cant remember the specs of the cue but it was a pool spec maple wooldridge sinbin cue !

That case is just stunning. Absolutely stunning. .

Maybe you could do a mini blog on what's involved in getting that patern of leather ?

Do you find the cue making more satisfying than the case making ?

Nice Cris, you know what looks good mat thats for sure. When I read you sold your own last case, i think a tear ran down..... but I'm a grown man so I just dealt with it, and hoovered my own out and gave it a good polish.

I really do love my case. I only got it just before Christmas and play and touch it more than I do the Missus!! Pure class and craftsmanship at its very very best.
You may defeat me but I will fight you to the very end!!!!

i am working full time making cues mate, but the past 12 months ive been so busy with cases that i have not been able to take cue orders, in fact ive taken a total of 3 cue orders over the past 21 months

i have about 3 days work left on cases so hope to spend the next few months making only cues

Case work looks to be laborious and tough on the hands, if so make sure you give'm a soak now n then
