removing cuetec "earl strickland" serie fiberglass tru glide finish

Searchin since 2 days and found nothing about this specific cue. Mine is not smooth feeling in the bridge enven if its written "tru glide" on it, so i'm asking if someone did sand his cuetec to remove his fiberglass finish? Just do it with sandpaper 600 - 800 - 1000 - 1500 - 2000 and finish with linseed oil?

Any though?
