Hi chaps ... haven't posted much recently, been busy getting workshop built and it's been quite the learning curve but essential to ease my cue building passion
I hope you don't mind a few photos of the journey ...
The workshop is 16'x12' and I wanted it on a concrete base 5" thick and for it to be all above the height of the ground but because of soft top soil I had to dig 9" and fill with gravel and quarry-dust, that was a lot of digging just me, a spade & wheelbarrow over a few days inbetween lots of rain
After 1st day of digging I woke up to this ...
But i continued undeterred ride: hole 9" deep and filled will stone.
Bring on the concrete! me and brother-in-law, 2 wheel barrows ... result ... 2 sore backs :sour:
After a few weeks of curing / settling the shed men arrive on site and get to work ... hurrah
Yes I know there's no windows ... didn't want any.
Very pleased ... and now to insulate this baby!
Right ... where to put everything?
So after a fair bit of effort (and money) the journey has begun properly, now back to making some cues.
Keeping the humidity nice and stable at 50% is a doodle with a small dehumidifier.
BTW. The big shed beside it is where my 7'x4' Supreme pool table sits ... for my enjoyment but doubles up nicely for customer's cue testing by me or if they come a visiting
Hope you enjoyed the pics chaps ... will post more later.
