  • Spruce up my cue

I've got a nice 1 piece Northwest that's picked up 2 dings over the 6 years that ive had it - 1 on the butt (about 1/8" deep ) and a minor ding on the shaft..

where's the best place around the Manchester area to get the cue looked at and get the little dings tidied up?

Thanks in advance for any pointers

There's a poster on here called Flame who makes cues, he might be able to help. Think he's from Bolton too.

Wow who are you the Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie of cue world - what a good tip. You seem really clued up at this cue stuff Jim so I wondered could you answer this question I have on cues please.

You can also use a damp cloth and an iron... About the only time my missus lets me use her iron

Place cloth on the area and apply heat a little at a time until dink 'disappears'.

also, if the cue is oiled, once the dent has been removed, you may notice a "dry" area where it was, so you may need to apply a light coat of oil.

I'm not sure of the intrinsic reasoning as to why, but rubbing the side of a thick glass (pint) over a dint can get it out if its small
