Saw on Dave Coutts facebook page that he has now launched the coutts and cook cues collaboration. I see why Robin was no longer taking orders and it seems the cues are limited to the chinese market. Any idea on price expected for these?

I guess the chinese market was always going to mean these guys would sell out to them because of the huge potential to make hundreds of cues each year. Not only that but so long as it has the badge on it half the chinese wouldn't even know if it was made by joe bloggs or dave coutts.
Great time to become a famous cue maker, Raymo and JO must be delighted that their participation on this site enabled them to get recognition and a reputation to now go on and make big money. Shame they forget their roots and the loyalty that was shown to them through many members on this site taking a risk on them and subsequently giving them great feedback through reviews and pics though!

I think it's unfortunate that now UK players who want a genuine UK made cue now can either wait very long times for their cues, or be rejected orders. Then opting for the Thai made cues instead. Players overseas then being able to purchase big brands are given priority.

Yes. But dc was one of those to criticize cuemakers for misleading badging of cues when they haven't made the cue themselves. So a cue is made in China then badged with a leading UK maker name and sold for a huge margin. How is that different to will hunt? A big fuss was made about his involvement in this practice. Not saying Thai cues are bad they are fantastic for the money..
