  • [UK] Where to buy new cue?

I recently bought a BCE classic from amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/BCE-Classic-...ds=bce+classic). The case is tight and I think it has warped my cue a bit.

On the plus side this cue feels really smooth and I like that. Can anyone reccomend me any good sources/cues? Budget of around £50

Where do you live ? That will assist in the advice given , as you may well be able to go to a shop and try different cues out .

doubt he will get one from there for 50 pounds - need to spend a few hundred more really

If budget is a problem bettween 100 - 250 look for these cue makers on ebay

          James Butters

          Andy Travis maybe

          John Longeran

          or maybe someone else?

If these are out you budget Cuedos sells some nice cheap cues on here and e bay and the poster ADR147 might have something cheap hanging around if you ask him.

Sorry , mis-read the post . Thought he bought one for £50 and didn't like it . Still may be worth popping along though Martyn . You would need to up your budget , but you can see what is out there and also they have 2 tables so that you can try out the cues .

it is good advice from neil to try before you buy though when starting out you will get to try a number of cues in various specs and have more chance of getting something that feels right for you.

As you progress you can then perhaps order a custom made cue nearer to your favorite spec with a bit more confidence you might like it - your spec might change over time but you will know a little better what your favored spec is when buying a decent second hand cue or a custom made cue from a top maker -

Two places you could do this near ish to you are green baize and craftsman cues in Kippax Leeds where they have a table and hundred cues to try out - well worth a day out for a beginner in the game -

I would go to both places try them out first - don't rush into buying your first cue - its important to get one close to what you like. Some people get it right first time and stick with a cue all there lives - they are the lucky ones
