Ok Folks
I'm 47 at the end of this month and I have had my trusted Riley Burwat for between 25 - 30 years. Now I can't remember exactly when I bought it other than it was when my local Rileys first opened their in club shop. No-one at Rileys can say exactly when this was. It's an ash 3/4 butt (15") with an ebonised butt and two thin green veneers. It originally came with a plain ash extension that you took the butt off and screwed into the shaft. I think I paid £75 for it or it was £75 total with 25% off as a shop opening promotion. It's 57.75", 10mm tip and 29mm butt. It weighs in at just over 17oz.
So can anyone advise on how I could date it more accurately?? It is (as I'm fond of reminding my other offspring)my oldest and most beloved child but it shames me to be unable to say just how old it is!
Cheers
David
