  • Burwat Champion

Hey guys after my search for a riley tombstone turned out fruitless. I then managed to play a frame with a fellow team mates cue which was the fabled burwat champion he has owned this cue for a long time,i really enjoyed using it and thought i would try to acquire for myself. Anyway once i got home i decided to do some research and watched Cue n Views video about the cues which was very imformative,i also read various pieces of the history of these cues and who made them popular etc and as my personal hero alex higgins used one i am really keen owning and using one. I would be interested in some of your opinions on some questions that i have about these cues as im curious.

1.How usable are these cues in todays conditions,i would primarily use the cue for pool but not sure how it would cope with snooker ?
2.Average Price they are available in todays market ?
3.Anyone use one currently as a playing cue ?
4.Do any sellers on here know of one being available in great condition ?

I know there are a lot of questions but im really interested in the cue after it made such an impression on me As always thank you for anyone who takes the time to reply

The hardest part is finding one that is stiff enough, loads of then are not!!
I have 2 that are perfect for modern game
Might sell the lower/left hand side one, it's 58", 10.6, 17.7 oz, but it's that good i would need £225 delivered

Another option you might want to look at is the Burwat Champion Replica cues that Tony Glover makes which give you modern cue playability and old cue looks and feel. The one I bought a few weeks ago (also from Jrc750) is a lovely cue and I couldn't be happier with it.
