Stood there in front of the cues with a big cheshire on his face for the camera when the guy picks them up. He must know what is going on. Why doesn't he close the book like Osborne and Coutts and just fulfil these bulk orders?
I hear what people are saying but really this is none of anyone's business but JP's.
I'll just simply say this, how is what this guy doing any different to say Stu at Green Baize or Simon at Craftsman who place orders for 100 odd cues at a time from the likes of Phoenix, Maximus, Ton Praram, Mastercue etc? Maximus were able to make an ultimate cue within 5-6 weeks when they first started out. Now as many cue traders, suppliers and individual customers have realised their quality the waiting time is over 6 months and rising all the time. Its supply and demand.
It is no different, other than the fact that JPU's are the most sought after cues in the world. No cuemaker or trader is in it for the love of it, they are doing so to make money! It seems some just have an anti JP bias because they can't stand to see someone doing well for themselves, pure jealousy.
I understand what you are saying, but it's nothing to do with jealousy - more a matter of misrepresentation and a reputation far from deserved, mainly due to blinkered ignorance on behalf of the JP accolytes. I think that's what annoys his detractors the most.

tbh, i don't think any of those cues had good enough shafts to be called ultimate in terms of looks. I've seen better on the thai ones... for a fraction of the price
nothing with ol' Cockney John taking 20 grands worth of orders from a single punter.... business is business. If you're not happy with the waiting times, buy one from these carpetbagger types or go to another cuemaker.
Or buy a GBL for 250 and spend the other 700 on a week in the Canary Islands.
