    By getting a cue respliced does it have to be weighted again and a suppose it might not play the same

    Do you mean lengthening it or changing the splicing? If your extending it will obviously shift the balance point and add weight, specify the weight and balance point your after and who ever does the work will advise what's best. For example if you resplice ebony with a much lighter wood it may not alter the weight or balance point at all.
