That looks like the side grain, how is your cue lined up, or how do you hold it( badge wise? )

Its not badged but there is a taper on the butt which goes against the flat of my palm.

That cue has a badge on it. ? Is the flat lined up with the arrows or the side grain? If your not fussed how you hold it just spin it a quarter turn and try the four sides and see if one doesn't pull.

Sorry there are 2 cues in that link, Its the james butters one that isn't quite right.

From picture 5 down is the cue that is the problem.

The flat lines up with the arrows pointing back at me it doesn't catch as bad but it does still catch all the way around.
