I cut it down from 57 inches, an inch from both ends, spliced some walnut and sapele to the butt with maple veneers, re-tapered it and finished it with boiled linseed mixed with activated charcoal to enhance the grain.
Two different pieces of ash so the shaft is a little darker, but it turned out OK, hope he likes it and the shorter length should suit him better than having six inches of butt behind his grip hand.

    I like that
this machine/handspliced combo works really well.
especially because the maple really blends into the shaft.
    very nice indeed.

I have a mid size Cuesmith lathe that I bought from the USA. Here's a couple of pics showing a one piece cue set in the lathe for drilling from the butt to fit a weight or a mini butt joint.

It's a lathe steady, you can't do joints without a lathe!

So in short no, and I don't have a video camera anyway.
If anyone likes it then they can pm me for a price before it gets sold locally, and I'm not asking hundreds.
I was just pulling your leg, I wasn't expecting one really.

Can't go wrong with them for that money, probably my favourite pressed tip, quite consistent too you will find. If they can do it why elks can't is beyond me.
