depends which parris - ever cue is different regardless of maker, on average i would expect the wooldridge to be better at mid range than the parris.

Thanks ADR147! I guess 365 pounds is not mid range.

Thing is how do you rate it compared to the other cues you have? Is it really worth the exta you paid over them? (I think you#ve said you have a Peradon King, another Peradon and was it a mastercue?)

yes I own mike woolridge pro4[got from stuart of green baize] , master exclusive.peradon king, peradon oxford 1 piece.I am currently playing with the 1 piece peradon oxford and i will rate this cue above all others cue that i have bcoz it gives me the best feel and this game is all about feel.Which cuemaker would u reccomend for a 1 piece cue as u know peradon is not the high end quality.

stu green is a top bloke, i have a custom made wooldridge cue, i also have a parris special, traditional x 2 and also an ultimate, the best cue by far is the wooldridge, the quality of the parris cues differ becuase he has 6 people working for him so its pot luck.

I believe theres only dealers and collectors qualified enough to judge amongst handbuilt cues the rest of us including the pros never play with enough of them to really tell. From a playing point of view if the spec suits the shaft is smooth ash maple pearwood or whatever one prefers and has a first rate tip fitted (imo the most important factor) then who made it is irrelevent as I doubt I'll ever accept one builder can make a better playing cue than another. Hendry with his first and his latest cue is a good example of that having gone from a piece of tat to an even bigger one.

Maybe I dont play enough or to a high enough standard. and/or I have the feel of a punchdrunk boxer, but of the three cues I use now they all play and feel as good as each other to me but apart from the spec they are each very different.

look at it this way: all the top cue makers can in theory easily make you a perfect cue, i have personally owned cues that could not be faulted in ANY way by trevor white, mike wooldridge and robert osbourne. If you want a perfect cue though you have to pay for the time that goes into it, if you pay the extra they can put the extra in, i would be prepared to bet that if you rang any of the top makers up and told them you wanted the dogs danglies of cues and that you would post them a cheque for a grand or so straight away, you would get a serious cue back!
