The thing with Mannocks is whether they are in good original condition, and, whether they are earlier or later versions.
I've seen some change hands for stupid cash, when in reality, they just were'nt worth it.
I'd say a good example would need to be at least 57.5" long, preferrably 58", have a ferrule of at least 10mm, (preferrably horn) have an original, unaltered weight to it and have all the splicing in very very sound undamaged condition to be worth anything nearing £300.
Also, the earlier ones are the better examples by far, as some of the later ones were of slightly inferior timbers in the butts. The best looking of all of them is the ones with tulipwood lower hand splices and thuya burr front splice. Later versions of these cues have far less attractive timbers used and just don't have the 'quality thing' in my view.
£300 is a lot of money for a cue, and, while Mannocks appear to be fairly well sought after, it would need to be a pretty pristine example for a serious and knowledgeable buyer to part with that amount for one I'd have thought.
Another thing I would say is that the ash versions of this cue are the rarest, as most I've seen (and I've seen quite a few) are either maple or pear shafted.
Good luck with it anyway.
