  • Help !!! My King Is Too Fat

i am the proud owner of a peradon king cue but after borrowing the old mans cue i now feel i would play better with a lighter cue is there any way i could get it made lighter and how much would it cost.. if anyone has any ideas i would be grateful ..

can be made lighter mate if there is weight in the butt,
i might be wrong but ive had a king too and the weight was natural, meaning that the cue had no added weight, most cues weight is based on how its made wot woods etc. ebony is quite heavy.

trev or adr might be able to explain better

Depends whether the cue is 1 piece or jointed? If its a 1 piece and has a weight inserted its not straightforward to take the weight out. If its a 3/4 joint cue then its unlikely to have any weight inserted into the butt end as it will be solid wood, but you can drill it and bore it and this will decrease the weight but you will need to take it to an experienced cue maker.
