tip help

just brought a new cue and also some new tips to retip 3 of my other cues at the same time and found that even after sanding to shape the chalk isnt really sticking to the tip anyone got any hint on what to do
found this anyone use or used one what they like

Mike's tips aren't the only ones that chalk sticks to though. What brand of tip/chalk are you using Dean?

I can't see a tip pick helping if sanding doesn't. Usually roughing the tip up slightly is all that's needed to get the chalk to stick.
