  • Mastercraft or Peradon?

    hay all,

I was thinking of getting a cue from this site..

    http://www.billiardsboutique.com/snooker-cues-1-c.asp

but I dont know which one!! I'm no pro I just play for fun but would like a half decent cue. Is that site a good place to get em? Also liek it says, who would you say makes better cues out of those two? I wanted to spend 100 max and was looking at either the peradon ascot/balmoral or the mastercraft Retribution but will consider any others. Are they good cues?

    thanks

i would go for the peradon myself . or put another £20 to it and get a craftsman 147.

I'd go for either a Craftsman or Mastercraft personally. Also you can deal with both in person which is always better as any info isn't lost in translation.

thanks, that Craftsman looks good, a bit plain looking but then I kinda like it as well. is it better to get a 2pc or the 3/4 butt jointed and 9.5mm is the standard tip size isnt it? are there any better pics of it?

some of those master cues on that site look amazing...

having looked the 147s £115 and the panther is £120 which as a slight longer butt which i think give the cue a better balance and a bit more rigid shaft. it is plain looking but fancy splices will not help you pot balls save your money and put it towards a decent case.

^^true. Is there much different in quality between the 147/Panther cue and the Mastercraft Retribution? The mastercraft is about £15 more.

                  I have a 147 cue.

I think it's a good cue but the butt is a bit thick for me.

Then again, even with Ronnie's cue I'd be ****e!

I find Mastercraft to be much better tham Peradon.

I do not stock Peradon based on price and quality.

I do however stock Mastercraft and find them good value for Money

yea Im thinking of either the Mastercraft Conquest

or the craftsman Ultimate cue M2

                      or maybe the M5 Pro

                      still cant decide tho.

The M2 and M5 aren't actually made by craftsman.
They are Master Cues made in Thailand. They are still a very good cue, some will say better than Craftsman for the the money. Just want you to realise they are not UK made.

I'm seriously considering the Mastercraft Emerald Gem. Has anyone got one or played with one?
