I wont be selling this one as i dont feel it is perfect. Plus being my 1st it was really an experiment so will never sell it. Maybe when i do another i may well do.

Just wondering, those of you who are cue makers/know how to make cues did you learn through books and websites (if so would it be alright if you gave me some of the names) or did you learn from your parents/grandparents?

The cues in the pictures look to have somne kind of oil finish on it, how do you plan on doing the finish? Are you going to use only oil?
I love reading this thread, and to see what you are working on, thanks for sharing.

The cue in the pictures is actually wet with oil. That was the 1st coat last night. Has taken 5 coats already and has started soaking in nice and slowly now. I wont use only oil as i have a few extras when i refinish a cue, which i have done many times before. Once the wood refuses to take on any more oil i will wipe off the excess and leave the cue alone for 3-4 weeks to let it cure before doing anything else to it.

You must have a very understanding spouse, to put up with the smell of the oil in the kitchen.

Would you share with us how you plan on finishing the cue?
