I thought I had replied to a thread from somebody about the pressure exerted by the feet of a snooker table. I can't find it. Maybe it was on a different forum.
Anybody thinking of putting a table in a loft conversion or anywhere like that should certainly get professional advice regarding loads etc. The reason I am posting this, though, is to recommend anybody who is thinking along those lines to log onto Geoff's site here:

Scroll down until you get to a photo of a table with a red holdall in the background. The table appears to be on chipboard but you will notice what I would call "spreader plates" under the feet. Just a small piece. How neat is that? Obviously it doesn't reduce the total load but it greatly reduces the pressure.
Still think a concrete ground floor installation is best though :-)
