I am currently in the process of buying a grand piano for my music room.

I wondered what anybody thought to the idea of a black lacquered snooker table. The same finish as on such a lot of pianos.

Sounds nice, i thik it would look alot classier than the gold and silver legs etc that you see.
        Looks tacky in my opinion.

Back in the early 80s Clare's of Liverpool (Thurstons) made a 10x5ft Jubilee Table for a Saudi Arabian sheik , during its manufacture it was commonly known as ' The Black Table'. It had a very high finish and looked very good. I didn't see the table before it was shipped out, but from what I did see looked very impressive.
