E j riley 8ft table info please

Hi guys. Just bought this table and was wondering how old it is? Its got a brass plaque stating it was a gift from the usaf in 1945 but I'm wondering if its older than that and what model name it had? It has Riley ltd stamped into each leg and an A8 serial number. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the table existed in 1945 it must have been made before the war. The Utility Furniture Scheme was introduced in 1942 which restricted the use of wood and it would need a special license to make a billiard table like this. The scheme lasted until the 21st January 1953.

It looks good I like the styling. That brass plate gives it a special provenance too.

Yes it has A8 8177 stamped into the frame and each leg

Trouble is that some serial numbers were lost in the war. I don't know if Riley's records survived.
