I'm driving down from london, I went last year and had a good time I thought there would be more interest on the forum. if there any players in the london area going down and wants a lift send me a pm. It would be nice to have some company.

Just got back I played an absolute shocker I just could not get going and for some reason I was really nervous and why I don't know. I won the first match 3-0 without making a break over 25, how the hell I won I don't known. I thought well I can't play that bad again boy was I wrong, I missed a straight blue off it's spot with my hand on the table. I never been so embarrassed to hold a cue in my hand. I can only think that I was nervous because I'm not playing any competative snooker. I don't mind loosing but like to give a good account of myself and enjoy my snooker that did not happen today so PEAD-OFF to the max. I want to put this one behind be asap.
            Still it's only a game

Don't worry i know how you feel mate, I played an absolute shocker lost 1st round 3-0 and lost 1st round of the plate 2-1. It was really quite embarrasing as I couldn't seem to string more than 5 balls together its days like today when I really consider taking a bit of time off from the game

105 was the highest when I left. There was a few 90 odds aswell. The standard was pretty high

                          Thats the spirits gaz .

If like me you do a lot of solo practice , it does,nt stand you in good stead in matches . I think you need serious practice pheraps with a little bit of money at stake , not much , if youre playing best of nine then say five pence a point , total up after game , just to add a bit of pressure .

That saying it,s getting hard to find practice partners these days .

The pro game seems to be going in the right direction, but club level is dying
There is nothing happening and you have to travel miles like I did today just to get a game and its no fun travelling all that way just to get beat in the second round. I sent an email to rielys yesterday asking for them to recloth the tables so that I can put on a pro am at my own club, can't wait for their reply

This is ryan c's mum, but he and few others play at the rivermead club in chelmsford every sat and sun, It is a handicap but they always get a good turn out I don't know how far away you live, but they both start about 5.00.
