This is for all snooker players resident in the province of Ontario. The Ontario Snooker Association is about to start our series of 10 ranking tournaments to qualify the top ten ranked players at the end of the season directly into the Canadian Championships with their entry fully paid.
The first tournament will be at the Annex Club on Bloor Street in Toronto on Sept 10/11 and to enter you must email either myself, John Greschner or Odie Willet prior to the Friday evening before. Entry fee is just $35 and prize money and ranking points are given in all tournaments.
To check out all the rules visit our website at 'snookerline(dot)com' and check under the 'OSA' link for the dress code, entry deadlines, future dates and results of past seasons and as each tournament is played.
There are two levels of players but these tournaments are not handicapped and straight IBSF rules are used including the 'MISS' rule (or rather I should say the 'MUST HIT' rule as that is the way the Snooker Director interprets it). At the end of the season we also have an 'A-player-only' tournament where the players who haven't already qualified can play for 2 direct Canadian entry spots.
