  • New from Canada

My introduction to billiards was playing snooker at a local pool hall with my father when I was 7. Played with my father for a few years until we did not have the time to play anymore due to work schedule.

Began to play 8 ball in bars regularly once I hit my teens. Started to play snooker again in my early twenties for a few years. Played pool until I was thirty, stopped playing for 20 years due to work and family. I semi retired last fall and will be moving to a new house in a few weeks, Finally have space for a snooker table as well as a pool table and they will be the first things going in since they are a priority to me.

Hi Ed, welcome to TSF. Sounds like you're going to have a great setup, wish I had the room for a snooker table, but I've had many memorable nights around my own pool table.

    Hope you enjoy the forum.

I'll have to get my girls to figure out how to post pictures. I haven't used a camera in decades.

once you ( ) get the images captured, here is how to add them to TSF

How to add images to your TSF posts

You can use a free image-sharing site such as ImgBB, without registering (you can register for free), to upload your images, you may have to do the “not a robot” checks quickly. There are other image sharing sites as well.

          ImgBB.com

          Click on "Start Uploading"

Browse to the file and select it, click Open

Auto delete image - leave as "Don't autodelete".

          Click "Upload".

Change "Embed Codes" to "BBCode full linked".

Hover over the code in the box, a "COPY" will appear, click this.

Go to your TSF post and paste.

You can repeat for multiple images in a single post.

          Up the TSF! :snooker:

Hello Ed, welcome to TSF. Joined recently myself. The project sounds great, remember though, the Bar takes priority first
            All the best.

No actual bar in the rec room but there is a small kitchen attached. Lots of room for liquor, ice, mix and hot snacks while playing pool and darts. Will put up a large TV on a wall so I can watch baseball while playing.

Hi Ed13 welcome to tsf. Thanks for watching our snooker sessions. Maybe you can do the same for us, once your table is set up. Not the pool table. Lol.
                Cheap and Cheerful! 😄
