    Hi

I've just joined the forum, hoping to pick up ANY tips that will improve my game.

Sometimes I make brilliant shots - other times I can miss a ball even when it's hanging over the pocket!!

Up until now I've just had the odd game - now I seriously want to improve - not necessarily to a great standard but so that I don't keep embarrassing myself!

    Cheers

    Steve

Not offhand but i believe there are a few members on here from that area . Someone will be able to advise you .

I've met up with Members from here , who live local to me and we play a few frames together . Always good playing different players .

          Welcome to TSF.
Gavin York (CoachGavin on here) is based in Northampton at the Barratts Snooker Club (www.121snookercoaching.com).
I have been to Gavin once and was very well worth while and would go again if he was just a tad too far for regular visits
Also have a look at the Coaching section, there is much on consistency, technique, stance, etc. that could help you.
          All the best

Many thanks Dean - much appreciated.

I play at Barratt's on a Friday - I'll see if Santa might bring me a coaching session!

That's what I did, got money from family for the lesson.
I am sure you have seen Gavin around the club without knowing it
They probably have his contact detials behind the bar, also on the website there is contact details as well.
All the best and say hi from me :snooker:
