  • Old but new - South West London

    Hi!
I've been a member on here for years but been a bit inactive.

Looking to meet players and play in a local league somewhere not too far from SW11 London!

An average player, when I have been practicing I would expect to knock in a a 50+ break each session. Haven't played for a while so would take some time to get back to my expected standard.

Anyone know of decent clubs in this area? Or decent players? I have no issues playing ball boy for people knocking in tons for fun, it's the only way to learn!

I'm a short walk from Clapham Junction station.

I'm new to London! So I have only visited Rileys at Victoria. The tables look decent but the balls there look a little well used.
But haven't played at any clubs yet.

I see there is hurricane room at tooting and streetbreak club at earlsfield which are close to me as well.

Hurricane room is pricey and yeah Riley's is alittle hit and miss. Not many clubs around here. Depends how far you're willing to travel but I play in Welling. Considering a drive to play at Frames in Coulsdon

There is a CIU club in Tooting that play in a league . But I think most of their players play in the Hurricane rooms .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

There's a Labour British legion CIU club Falcon Road that has one full sized snooker table. Played there a few years ago, nice table with tight pockets.

Hurricane's in Tooting is okay but too loud when busy especially from the noise from 9 ball and thumping crap music.

Haven't been to Street break in Garrett Lane but it's not open every day and it costs £7.00 min an hour. There is a match table there though.

There were two clubs I used to play in, World snooker on Battersea Rise, now the Goat pub and another nice club on Vardens Road. Both are long gone now...

Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it. Looking like I'm going to have to travel to find what I'm after. Victoria might be ok to get back into the swing of things but hopefully find a league somewhere not too far.
