  • Eh up!

    Morning everyone,
Well the fact that i'm starting off this thread obviously means i'm a newbie here so I thought i'd do the honorable thing and introduce myself.

I'm 33, from Grimsby in N.E Lincolnshire (the home of such greats like Dean Reynolds, Mike Hallett, Sean Storey............!!) I play in the Grimsby Singles League and in the Intermediate snooker doubles league.

I've been playing the game for over 20 years as most have really but only as a knock about and to see who could hit the balls the hardest and get te biggest screw-back!! So a three of years ago decided to start playing a bit more seriously and signed for a league team.

I started making a few half decent beginer breaks, 20 to 25 or so, and developing my A to B game. I play and practice with Jamie Barrett who has brought my game on no end, I very rarely take a frame off him but have learned endless amounts. My highest break in the league is a 31 all on reds and colours, although i've had many chances of a 50+ but my positioning always lets me down.

I love the game and can't wait to get back on the baize each day. Unfortunately a shoulder injury from a bike racing accident gives me no end of problems when i'm down at the table so i can only play 5 frames or s at a time before i'm spent!!

I hope to pick up a few tips and pointers from this site as well as chewing the fat about the game.

    Cheers, Jim
