Whoever you are playing, if your back or shoulder is injured, you can lose to anyone. Playing through an injury is the worst thing that happen as it also ends up affecting your mind.

Yes without a doubt. Selby hurt his neck a couple of years back and although he played and got down on the shot you could see he was struggling and lost in the second round I believe.

Another thing about Trump and his injury, you can see because he has no cue power. A player that easily generates cue power, today he's got none at all. Judd is all about power and take that away from him and he loses 50% of his game. Very difficult to play when certain shots are not possible.

yes sorry frames, 93000 matches, 700k frames. even given the improvement in technique and tables, it remains lets say a 1 in 100k chance for a frame! barry hearn should improve those odds by offering special prize money for a break > 147, every point higher than a 147 u get 100k!

Kyren Wilson is through to the last 16 despite scoring only three 50+ breaks. I am wondering if this (or even less than three 50+ breaks) happened before in recent years?

And Grame Dott scored only two 50+ breaks to reach the second round. Still impressive stuff from Dotty.

I'm pretty sure World Snooker clarified this a while back when (possibly) Jamie Burnett did it in practice and said that a 155 break would be treated as a maximum, but not 148-154, which I guess is understandable, as technically from a free ball position at the start 155 is the maximum.

Bit defeatist for me that, I'd fight tooth and claw, injury or not, you must always give it your all.

There was nowhere said before the tournament that he is injured. Only thing I know is that somebody here quoted Trumps brother stating on twitter that Judd has an injury.

I have a sneaky suspicion what I'm thinking of is one of those chats they have on the sofa with John Parrott, Steve Davis and Hazel Irvine...I suspect it came up and Steve said it would only count if it was 16 reds and 16 blacks.

In all honesty, if it ever happened I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't pay out for that, it is unarguably a maximum!

Maybe Judd kept it quiet because he didn't want people talking about it, which is of course the case now. He probably doesn't want any excuses if he goes out.
