Tough to play any better than O'Sullivan did in these first four frames. He played some great safety, potted almost everything from distance, and scored as well as always. Things will have to change quite dramatically for Ding to come back in the second half of the match now.
Well, that turned into quite a good match in the end. Too bad Ding couldn't take one of the chances to make it 4-4, I bet things would have gone very nervy from there.
What a fascinating interview from Ronnie, quite emotional and very frank. I especially liked the point about the pressure of concentration, how hard that is to maintain and the fact of feeling slightly "punchy" after all these years of fighting to win. Brilliant.
I've never found it hard to understand Hendrys retirement, and I think Ronnie will retire when that "bottle" and concentration can't hack it anymore. His talent will always be there but it's his ability to play the winning shots under immense pressure that make him win so much.
