The other good news for Jimmy is that he is up to provisional number 66 (would have been 67 but Robin Hull has resigned from the tour) so far after this week. If he wins tomorrow he will gain 500 more points which could push him up to 65.

It really is a shame isn't it alex, that we are sat here saying it is good that he is going up to 65 That is a measure of the few seasons he has had since 2004 (where he had 2nd most points and 1 rank victory and final)
I am desperate to see him produce the form we know and love. Get him back in top 32. This is a good chance to go some way towards that goal. It is a first step on the ladder so make it a good one jimmy!
Judd Trump through nicely 10-4 (Goggins), but Michael White out by same score against Barry Pinches.
...and interesting day ahead today. Wonder if Higginson will make it through...
Well, still long to go, but first scores now:
0-4 Adrian Gunnell - Ian Preece
4-0 Michael Judge - Jimmy Michie
1-1 Fergal O'Brien - James McBain
1-3 Andrew Norman - Mike Dunn
2-2 Andy Hicks - David Roe
1-3 Andrew Higginson - Jimmy White
0-3 James Wattana - Scott MacKenzie
4-0 John Parrott - Gareth Coppack
Teabreak over already for Parrott and Preece games, Fergal very slow…
Preece and Parrott breezed through their sessions:
2-7 Adrian Gunnell - Ian Preece
6-2 Michael Judge - Jimmy Michie
3-2 Fergal O'Brien - James McBain
2-6 Andrew Norman - Mike Dunn
3-4 Andy Hicks - David Roe
5-4 Andrew Higginson - Jimmy White ---a bit of a comeback here
2-5 James Wattana - Scott MacKenzie 8-1 John Parrott - Gareth Coppack
The Jimmy White match is going to be a 10-9 nerve-jangler.
Its looking that way.
You never know though, as anyhthing can happen still happen. One player might suddenly hit a hot streak, or at the other extreme a sudden collpase in form from either player.
Nothing agisnt Higginson but i hope he doesnt hit a hot streak and leave Jimmy's game to collpase.

"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White
Woow, Jimmy won a very tense 10th frame to level at 5-5 !
He took the lead with a 48, but Higginson fought back and seemed firm favourite to clinch it...
Now Jimmy is 51 ahead in the 11th... but couldn't go further once again !!! He really struggles to win frames in one visit.
Good memories from last years WC make Parrott play well it seems
I'm sure he's pulling all the stops out to try to get back to Sheffield again. He has to beat Perry next though. The man that Steve Davis calls "hard".
