A new ranking points system for this season?

Hey Hey.

I was checking the new provisional ranking after the Shanghai masters, and saw that the ranking points in this particular tournament is all new. The winner, in this case Ronnie, got 7000p.


I want to now if any of you know if this is the new standard points system to this season, maybe because this year we have less ranking tournaments (so long to the Northern Ireland trophy) or if its just the Shanghai Masters that got more points.
