Wim: ha ha ha! You should hear my wife! The Rolling Stones made a song called: The 19th nervous breakdown, thats what she has every day after listening to me. We have married for 29 years.
Ronnie himself muttered something in the lines of "Awful" after a spectacular miss of his and who am I to contradict him? Poor positional play, poor long pot percentage, somewhere between 50% and 60%, three-visit frames, HB around 50 points...Disappointing but Ronnie's still in it.
And Holt pretty much beat himself.
Too bad he didn't win those two frames where he had breaks of around 60, because he was almost there, but Cope made a clearance to snatch them both.
EDIT: 7-3. Ark! Is this what I've again been waiting a month for?
Oh well. Hawkins beat Carter from 8-3 down too, so who knows....he really, really needs to win the next two before the interval to stand any chance anymore.
EDIT #2: Which isn't going to happen because....Cope....is....on....another....break.

Carter & Hawkins were down to the pink, which Hawkins has just potted to win 9-8 from 4-8 down (four down with five to play, as Clive Everton would say!)

Wasn't it 8-3 down? Bad news for me and my woeful predictions, I think I only have 5 matches right. Pleased the UK Championship specialist Perry won but Graeme Dott is playing too fast for my liking.

Higgins is going home, no way back from here, Cope would have to have a serious loss of form to lose from here.
If Copey can maintain this form he will walk this tournament, but as we know form can be there one day and gone the next. He's been superb though in this match.
Yep, this one's over. Cope is playing too well and Higgins is...not. Higgins COULD have snatched the last frame, but I think he screwed up at the end (I'm watching live scores) and handed it over to Cope. Now Cope seems to be on another break so....yeah, this will be over quickly.
Of course, there is no 9 on the scoreboard yet and Hawkins did it too, but the difference in form is just too big for Higgins to pull off six consecutive frames against Cope.
